Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I want to be a tutor because I enjoyed school and would like to help a child enjoy school too. I like to explain ideas and concepts and help with questions. I think being a tutor would be a rewarding position and it would help me in the future.
Why should a student pick you?
- I think a student should pick me because I have a passion for helping and teaching kids. I enjoy seeing their faces light up when they realize they know the answer or understand what they are supposed to do. I understand that each child has a different way of learning and I want to be able to help a child understand that and realize that they can do their work. I enjoy being around kids and I enjoyed school and hope that they will too.
Personal Statement:
- I am a graduate from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. I am currently going to the University of San Diego pursuing a Paralegal certificate. I beleive I would be a good choice for a tutor because I can relate easier with kids than most people. Kids seem to like me and can talk to me. I have worked as a coach for kids in the past and the kids seemed to enjoy the time we were at practice. I believe that school is the most important thing in someone's life and without it there are limitations. When a student realizes they can get the answer themselves or understands how to do their homework it just makes school that much more enjoyable.
